Janice does look exactly like Donatella Versace, but not because she was based on Versace. From Muppet wiki….

“Janice was originally performed by Fran Brill in The Muppet Show: Sex and Violence pilot in 1975, and in the first set of Muppet Meeting Films. ”

It goes on to say that Janice was originally patterned after Mick Jagger.

I used to work with a guy who did this sort of thing with employee photos. Eventually we all started doing it. Love the site! It brings back fun memories! I wish my current employer had employee photos on their intranet site. =)
