The Pope, or any priest, is acting in ‘persona cristi’ or in the person of Christ in regards to the Echarist. He is not acting as Benedict or Joseph (his birth name), but as Jesus. Wouldn’t you knee before God?

What? there was no such thing, Benedict entered the seminary(priest training school) in 1945, shortly after he was released from a POW camp. Ever since than the has been serving the Church.

First of all, I have been Catholic since I was two months old and have been attending Catholic School for the past ten years. Never once have I been told anything anti- theory of evolution. As a matter of fact, my teachers have covered it more thoughly than the public schools.

And as for the Church being racist, sexist, class-ist (or what ever other -ist you can think of) keep in mind that the first disciples were poor and Aramaic. Females make up at least half of all Canonized (officaly recognized) saints.

How is he “creepy” he is OLD.
And he has done tons in response to child molestation. He has acted to reform, bring healing and remove molesters,such as Marcial Maciel. Look at his Pastoral Letter to the Church in Ireland. in it he writes “Civil law concerning reporting of crimes… should always be followed.”

A)The Catholic Church is VERY open with the fact that people of other faiths can go to Haven.
B) Purgatory, in it’s very nature is a temporary state, so no-one will ever “Be stuck in purgatory for all eternity” as you put it.

And do get started on the Catholic Church and Nazi’s. I think Pope Benedict would be intersed in what you have to say, seeing as his cousin was killed by Nazis as well as thousands of Priest, Monks, and Nuns, While churches were looted defaced and destroyed.

First of all, there is no reincarnation. each pope from Peter to Benedict XVI have been their own person. If it was only one being that is born again and again to resume the papacy, then how, during the papacy of Paul VI (died 1978) the men who would eventually become Pope John Paul I, John Paul II and Benedict XVI were all alive.

The Pope never did anything to “tells his cardinals and priests to say nothing about molestations ” he has acted to reform, bring healing and remove molesters,such as Marcial Maciel.
