Grand Moff Tarkin escaped the explosion of the Death Star and fled to our planet. whilst attempting to maintain a low profile, he posed temporarily as Vice President of the fledgling United States of America under W. H. Harrison. when Harrison died, he took over and annexed the new American Death Star: Texas in 1845.
