Well, this is a picture of Stalin as a young man – you don’t see this photo very often. And remember, in communist countries you always had “official” photos and pictures of Lenin, Stalin, Marx, Engels, and so on. They had to be approved before they were published anywhere. And smiling Stalin would be totally out.

It’s long been rumored–typically by antisemites–that Stalin’s family was originally Jewish. Georgia had (and has) a sizeable Jewish community. Stalin’s real last name is Dzughashvili (pronounced Jew-gash-veelee, and translates as “son of Jew”). Moreover, he married three times, all three of his wives Jewish. That takes some effort. So who knows? Lenin turned out to be a quarter-Jewish (which was hidden for decades by the old Soviet bureaucracy).

and it doesnt pronounce like Jew its like……i dunno how to write it in English(cuz im from russia) but the sound is like “oo” instead of “ew” in russian it looks like ДЖУГАШВИЛИ and gew is ЕВРЕЙ spells like evrei

Actually, Dzugashvilli like most ethnic georgian name has no real translation. Also what’s the point of the post? Stalin was raised catholic and then decried religion as an adult. Why does it matter if he is rumored to be jewish?
And Stalin’s name looks a lot like Palin’s name therefore I deduce that Sarah Palin is connected to the Communist party.

When I first saw a Stalin pic I also thought, that dude’s got to be Jewish.
Jews and Georgians are both middle eastern, that’s why. Enough Palestinians look Jewish too. There has to have been some intermingling if you go far enough back. Plus, my biological uncle looks Jewish and he is not, he just is balding, a slightly big nose, and wears glasses. Looks are too deceiving.
