The Russian Military Intelligence Agency logo totally looks like the Batman logo
Submitted by Kimberly Z
FIRST!
ha ha
More like Baccardi akshualy
I was just thinkin’ the same thing
So any explanations on why the Russian Military Intelligence Agency would choose the Bat symbol as their emblem? Did they not like the Green Lantern or Flash logos?
It’s a conspiracy!
Funded by Egoraptor…and the government!
ZOMG Baccardi is going to take over the WORLD!
starting with russia
Probably cause bat’s are quite and use sonar so you can’t hear them.
And they eat bugs.
…or something.
Actually the Russian MIA (Glavnoje Razvedyvatel’noje Upravlenije or GRU for short) came first, and the bat symbol used for Batman was taken from it. Not the other way around.
because russian gru military forces were present before anyone knew there would be such fictional thing as batman :>
I dunno, looks more like a cross between the Captain Planet logo and Batman’s to me.
looks more like the Bacardi logo to me
Captain Batplanet?
O.O It does look like Captain Planet!
OMFG! I was just thinking the same thing. Captain Batman FTW!!
That’s just uncanny.
…
In Soviet Russia, you save Batman.
“What symbol?”
“Something elemental, something terrifying.”
“Something that the bible refers to as a bird…”
Holy trademark infringement, Batman!
Ha ha ha! Hilarious!
The Bat from U.N.C.L.E.?
The secret identity of Batman is NOT Bruce Wayne, but Vladimir Putin !!!!!
nanna nanna nanna nanna
nanna nanna nanna nanna
batski!
OMG! It’s the correct amount of nanna’s!!!
WIN!
It’s not for the Military Intelligence Agency. It’s for the GRU, a division of the Spetsnaz (Special Forces).
I’m pretty sure you are backwards there. Spetnaz is a division of the GRU.
You are correct sir. That’s what I get for not checking what I type before posting.
Also, I think the MIA the original poster meant was the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
GRU is like CIA (international) and KGB is like FBI (national)
Meh, That’s a very generic symbol for a bat. The symbolism is very diffferent with the unique past of the Russian and US history. But still kind of interesting.
Priceless!
You, my friend, are priceless.
Where can I catch your next hilarious performance?
OMG… this can’t be real…
Too freakin absurd. Not to mention the fact that Baccardi is also in this obvious conspiracy.
nanna nanna nanna nanna
nanna nanna nanna nanna
spider-man!!
Putin is the goddamn batman!
So THAT’s why Batman fights Superman in Return of the Dark Knight!
Isn’t it obvious? This is Earth_Alternate38B_LeftHandOfTheAisleByTheSentientPickles, and here, Batman isn’t a guy from Gotham called Bruce Wayne but a guy from Gothenburg called Boris Vaynovich.
Oh, wait, Gothenburg is in Sweden…
Batman ripped THEM off. This symbol was there long before Batman was conceived.
the russian symbol was there long before batman became batman. so it was the comic book creators that ripped them off.
The only smart comment in this whole string of idiotic garbage.
Bljat’ spalili
Plagiatstvuyushiye pidori…
mdaaa blya tak palit’sa))
lol logo fail!
Actually, it’s a pretty good logo for them. The acronym is: Воздушные Силы РФ (Российской Федеращии), or “Air Force(s) RF (of the Russian Federation)” over the top and “Военная Разведка,” or Military Reconnaissance along the bottom. So, it’s sort of a theft of the Batman logo, but it’s appropriate for a unit of recon scouts who jump from airplanes and helicopters to do their jobs.
GRU was formed in 1918 using this symbol. Batman showed up around 1928. You do the math.
Hmmm. And in Superman: Red Son, Batman is a Russian Populist Freedom Fighter.
You’re kind of limited in the ways you can draw a bat as a symbol though…
The russians are breaking copy right laws, lets get em.
