Yes! These two are rather interchangeable. I liked John in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape and The Good Girl. I’m also a big Star Trek fan, and Colm was always good as the engineer maried to a shrewish Asian woman.

And yes, I know the actor’s name is Colm Meaney. But when I was searching through the pictures, actually Miles O’Brian looks more like John C. Reilly more than pictures of Colm Meaney out of character, so I decided to go with that name.

Besides, what’s the big deal? Two before this we said John Calhoun looks like Sweeney Todd, not Johnny Depp, and after this said Sideshow Bob, not Kelsey Grammar, looks like a palm tree.

And these would be funnier if I knew who both of them were. 80% of the time I know who one of them is, only about 5% of the time I know who both of them are in in those cases they dont even look like. The best is the 15% of the time that I dont know either of them.

I thought John C. Reilly was Bill Murray at first until I read the name :S
Colm Meaney looks a little like Richard David Briers in his days at The Good Life (1970′s British Comedy, for those who don’t know..)

But yeah, the resemblance between John C. Reilly and Colm Meaney is there, albeit subtle.

I actually like Colm Meaney (loved O’Brien) but I find John C. Reilly repugnant (I have yet to see a movie that he’s made in which he doesn’t just strike me as a moron. Which may be the intent, but just doesn’t work for me…)
