Severus Snape from Harry Potter Totally Looks Like Hungarian composer Franz Liszt
Submitted by PepperAnnie
not really
agreed
Actually, in this picture, Liszt reminds me more of how I pictured Snape when I read the books than does Rickman!
sorry, but i think that snape looks more like trent reznor.
::masturbates::
no. lookalike fail.
anyone in a black frock with crossed arms and a frown would look just as ‘alike’.
Agreed. Fail.
Severus Snape looks like that Alan Rickman guy. It’s uncanny.
I agree – someone should make a “looks like…” hahaha — And by the way, many fangirls would agree with this particular comparison. I’ve seen discussions – but it’s really more like “fan-fiction Snape compares to Franz Liszt.” (I’m partial to both of them, actually!)
are you stupid?
>…> I really hope you’re being sarcastic…
R u joking, he is ALAN RICKMAN.
Ah, so that’s why I fancy Alan Rickman. Liszt was hot. But maybe that’s because I liked the anguish I suffered trying to play his stuff when I was a kid
They are both totally teh sex. I drool at the comparison.
I thought Liszt looked like Roger Daltrey (If you don’t understand what I’m talking about, beg, borrow, or steal a copy of the super-rare Ken Russell movie Lisztomania).
This site is supposed to be humorous, right? I mean it ain’t a police line up. “Look alike fail” hey, it’s a joke. Or maybe I’m wrong. wouldn’t be the first time.
Hey, on my copy of Picture of Dorian Gray they use this portrait of Liszt. Anyone know why? Is there some connection that I’m clueless about?
I can only conclude that they use this pic for Dorian because it’s a noble-looking dude posing for a portrait (obviously), and his expression is one of arrogance. (and we all know that pride/arrogance/vanity was the essence of Dorian.)
His nose is actually more “Snape” than Snape’s… if you get what i mean
*I* think it’s pretty good!
I agree, Liszt has a very “Snape” nose.
Hmm…that’s the second pianist Snape has been compared to.
Franz Liszt : The FIRST musician to have ladies throw undergarments on stage. He was THAT good a performer. A century before Elvis.
Severus Snape ….. there are women who would throw undergarments to him.
Liszt is my favorite : Les Preludes, Hungarian Rhapsody #2, Piano Concerto #2, Liebestraum, Piano Concerto #1, Etudes, Danse Macabre (Totentanz)
If you are old enough to remember the Flash Gordon (b&w) TV show, most of the music was Les Preludes.
Les Preludes was inspired by Lamartine’s ‘Meditations’. What is life but a series of Preludes of which death sounds the first solemn note ?
Heavy.
Cool!
Pshh…Liszt was totally hotter. Same goes for Reznor.
Now, allow me to wipe the drool off of my desk.
Look alike fail. Snapes looks more like Trent Reznor.
Who the hell is Severus Snape?
Kind of. I guess.
But I
<3
Snape!!!
Snape is in Harry Potter. And Jules, Alan Rickman IS Severus Snape.
waiiiiiitttttt wahhhhhhhhhh
They look nothing like each other you blind mong.
This really isn’t Liszt at his “Snapiest.” I’d say this is a better one of him: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b242/shadepaw14487/Franz%20Liszt/Liszt_1858.jpg?t=1237088366
He’s certainly more attractive than the real Snape, but he certainly looks like Snape. Nonetheless, because Snape is fictional character, there are no exact details, only certain features that he undoubtedly must have. So I guess the bottom line is, both Franz Liszt and Trent Reznor look like Snape, but Reznor bears a greater resemblance to Snape, as portrayed by Alan Rickman.
Well… just the pose, but i think liszt was handsome and the other isNOT¡¡¡
severus snape is really UGLY¡¡
great one! yes, he does!
O, Yes. When I first saw Alan Rickman in that pose, I thought the same thing. Here’s a physical description of Liszt; it could have been written about Snape:
“He is tall and very thin, his face very small and pale, his forehead remarkably high and beautiful; he wears his perfectly lank hair so long that it spreads over his shoulders, which looks very odd, for when he gets a bit excited and gesticulates, it falls right over his face and one sees nothing of his nose. He is very negligent in his attire, his coat looks as if it had just been thrown on, he wears no cravat, only a narrow white collar.” -Sir Charles Hallé, 1836
I totally thought the same thing when I saw the portrait of Liszt! AR is super sexy
Liszt actually looks more like lord farquad (spelling) from the first Shrek movie.
They don’t look alike, but the style is similar of course.
When I first pictured Snape, he was something like a mixture of both of them – and the same time nothing like it (points to someone who understands what I mean).
All in all, in the movies (I totally prefer the book as usual) Alan Rickman and his voice is a marvelous choise. They couldn’t have found a better man for the job. Disagree if you want, I’m just a fan of Rickman’s work.
