Anderson wasn’t meant to be Kurt in ATU, as long as Jude was no MacCartney. The only two characters who send back to the music of that time are Sadie and Jo-Jo (so they are both musicians in the movie). Others are just characters: Jude is typicall brit, Joe and Lucy are ‘real americans’ – goodlooking kids from a big family, and Prudence stands for the war in Vietnam.
And by the way, yeah, Joe looks a lot like Kurt, so what now? He should go and kill himself just because he was born that way, and you think he did it with malicious intent? He may change his haircut, shave his face, but still look like Kurt, because it’s the shape of the face, nose, eyes, lips – that’s why they look alike, not because Joe is copying someone. And, btw, it’s stupidity to compare them, cause one is a musician, and other is an actor (still with a great voice).

He TOTALLY looks like Kurt here. Well, in general, but especially here.
Look at the whole facial structure! The eyes are slightly different, and the tip of his nose is a little bigger, but wow, that’s about as close as you’re gonna get.

Yes there are things that people said to make it seem like suicide but the fact is that if you actually take all things into consideration about the size of the gun, the lenth of his arm, blah blah blah…. he really couldn’t have shot himself, but oh well… oh and funny story… someone in another band died the exact same way and it was “suicide”, and that person had gotten in a snit fight with courtney love a few nights before she “killed herself”. My sister was doing a research paper on this so I’m blathering as well because to me the evidence for murder outweighs suicide. Not like the feds care ^_^

Look at the lips, nose, eyes, eyebrows and the hair. In this pic of Kurt maybe the eyes don’t seem the same but If you “know” Kurt at all you won’t even need pictures to prove it! but just in case you are from this generation and don’t really have an idea how Kurt looks in different angles, google him and see for yourself. if you still think they don’t look alike then go get your eyes checked and maybe your brain too.

I first saw Joe in a movie and was seriously SHOCKED when I saw him. WTF? he must be his brother! I shivered. It just felt like Kurt is still alive.

I actually made a remark like this while watching “Across the Universe”!! My roommate has a theory that the similarity is intentional, because Sadie is reminescent of Janis Joplin and Jo-Jo is reminescent of Jimi Hendrix. All three–Cobain, Joplin, and Hendrix–are members of the “27 Club,” meaning that they all died at the age of 27. Other members are Jim Morrison and Brian Jones. Something kinda weird to think about..
