The common thread with these things, especially with cartoon characters that look like celebrities is that one was based on the other. For example: Principal Skimmer from the Simpsons totally looks like the principal from The Breakfast Club.
Along this train of thought, it would be humorous to say, “I thought Jason Biggs (a cartoonish person) was based on Adam Sandler (a real-life figure).”

They look nothing alike. However, Jason Biggs totally looks like Robby Hammock from the Arizona Diamondbacks. Do a google image search and look for a picture where you see Robby Hammock head on and you’ll see what I’m talking about. It’s uncanny. I always call him the pie f*cker whenever he comes up to bat.
