Jeff Dunham puppet Bubba J Totally Looks Like Edgar Bergan’s puppet Mortimer Snerd
Submitted by MandyFox
But Jeff Dunham is no Edgar Bergen.
Just sayin’.
Personally, I think he is better. You can’t see Jeff’s mouth moving.
I agree. You can see his throat move though, which is kind of freaky. Plus, he sings, with an accent, without moving his mouth! How can he be human?
And besides that, I don’t think Jeff Dunham is that funny (just a personal opinion).
I saw him on TV a few years ago when I was about 12, and I thought he was funny then. I also thought Blue Collar Comedy was funny.
It is & He is
I’m a long way past twelve and I think Jeff Dunham and Blue Collar Comedy are funny.
yes.. definitely.. love them both.. laughed so hard on both.. nearly needed a bathroom break on both.. had an asthma attack with jeff.. watched the rest anyway..
Your right, his lips don’t move like bergens did
But of course, imatation is the sincerest form of flattery. Bergen was prolly a big influence on him…
And I happen to think that Jeff is VERY funny. He is a family fave.
Mortimer Snerd was what got Jeff into ventriloquism. Definitely meant as a tribute.
Me too. I actually went to school with Jeff.
Going to see Jeff at 2 shows in March and can’t wait ! A family favorite here too. And have to agree; any similarity is probably on purpose and probably meant to be a “tribute”.
I was watching Alice In Wonderland (I’m a closet Disney fanatic…at least for the classics) and saw Mortimer on the bonus features. I thought the same thing! Glad to know someone else agrees with me!
And neeeow…you are going to love his shows. My fiance and I saw him in Atlanta back in June. It was a birthday present from my parents. We were already huge fans…but even more so now.
Thanks! I am already looking forward to them and have 3+ months to wait! I have seen all of his shows and am *so* looking forward to seeing him LIVE
I hope there’s some (harmless but funny) snafu that comes up that trips him up … those are always *so* funny on the shows
Yes, and boy is Candice pissed!
THERE MAKIN’ A LEFT TURN!
Classic
I guess Bubba J would spell it incorrectly too so we’ll forgive you for “there”.
Happy New Year!
Having seen both Mortimer and Bubba J, I wouldn’t give you 2 cents for the difference in their IQ scores.
Which skit was Bubba J, from?
It wasn’t “Insanity”, so was it “Arguing With Myself?”
Bubba J was in the “Arguing With Myself” CD of which, I have an AUTOGRAPHED copy.
Bubba J also comes back int he Christmas CD.
Creepy creepy creepy creepy this is so creepy. Why do people enjoy puppets, dolls and dummies? They are so creepy. Jeff Dunham makes me cry on the inside. =(
You know you may need new material when your audience starts to do it with you. That happened at the show I went to, Jeff Dunham brought Bubba out and the audience started to do all of Bubba’s punchlines.
“It’s like having 10,000 voices in my head!”
to carrie: I went to a show like that too in NH LOL
He did an encore and said he hadn’t used bubba in a while so he had note cards but the entire audience did the punch lines for him! It was sooo funny
well, I wish that it was unique, although I am glad that I saw him on New Years Eve, that’s pretty unique.
I agree. Dane Cook repeats his stuff all the time. I feel like the audience is only laughing because they have to show that they’re “cool” enough to be Dane Cook fans, not because its actually funny aymore.
I Don’t think the resemblance is an accident….
omg, i was watching the extras on Alice in wonderland
and when he poped up i thought the same thing ^^
Dane Cook?
Jeff Dunham?
Blue Collar?
You people have terrible taste in comedy.
Then again, this is the internet. So nevermind.
those things are just creepy, I think I’m gonna have problems sleeping now
Well Stephen King’s Carrie suddenly makes a whole lot more sense now…
woooooooooooooooooooo
