Indigenous cultures believed that no part of the animal should be wasted. There is nothing wrong with the little bits of the chicken left on the bone. Valuable nutrients are thrown away all the time in our culture of waste, why add to that paradigm? What bothers me is actually the toxic preservatives and msg and crap they put in stuff like this, not to mention the stuff they feed the chickens. Meat always looks gross raw.

I don’t think you understood Sigh’s point. You said “one acre of wheat produces the same amount of protein as ten acres dedicated to bovine” and Sigh is saying you mentioned “an irrelevant statistic comparing the amount of protein in an acre compared to an acre dedicated to beef”, meaning one acre dedicated to beef does not provide the same amount of protein as one acre dedicated to wheat, get it?

The attitude you and most vegetarians/vegans I have met is the reason why no one responds well to you. It’s the essence of arrogance and self-righteouness in the way you argue that makes people not focus on what you are tryoing to say but more on the delivery and therefore take a defensive stance against you. Do you understand this? This is why people don’t like you.

Um – has anyone noticed that they are putting the “chicken” into an unlined cardboard box? Surely that’s not really “mechanically separated chicken”. I’d like to think that wouldn’t pass FDA standards (laugh if you want – but we are supposed to be a plastic lined and therefore sanitary country – i know, you are laughing again). I’d like to think it was put into a sanitizable container and fed into the molding machine. Not put into a porous box and shipped somewhere!

omg. that is why i quit eating them when I was in jr high. my dad had to feed us while my mom was in the hospital for over a week-so it was mostly MickeyD’s and there was unchewable dark rubber bits in my mcnugget…..that was it for me! This picture is absolutely DISGUSTING. that’s why we make our own “nuggets” or get the ones which you can tell are real pieces of chicken breast!
