Twilights actually good if you get past the ridiculous stereotypes. However, the movies do the book no justice. Oh, and the CS Lewis book was published BEFORE Twilight, however they republished it AFTER…sooo… yes, we have a rip off…but it’s NOT Twilight! :p

I would like to say a few things.

A lot of you are saying that Twilight sounds like it is written by a twelve year old/seventh grader/ ec. Would people still hate it if it was actually written by a young child?

Another thing, why is there this basically gigantic war between Twighlighters and Anti-Twilighters over the internet? Can anyone explain the point of this to me?

And finally, does it actually matter if Twilight “sucks” or not?

I would just love to have these answers.

Okay, everyone. Calm down.

First, the apple-in-the-hand bit is a RELIGIOUS symbol. It has no copyright, and has been in use long before either book was published.
Second, authors don’t pick their covers in most cases…and C.S. Lewis didn’t especially because he is DEAD.
Third, have an opinion. But don’t slander or stereotype others for it. A wide variety of people like Twilight, females, males, adults, teenagers, you name it.
And finally, grow up people. There are very few people in the world who are going to agree with everything you, personally, believe. It’s the way of the world.

Twilight looks like the CS Lewis book, not the otherway around: that cover for the Lewis book had been out for several years when Twilight was published. And as for any law suits, Lewis died about 40 years ago…

Thank you! Another who understands the stereotyping. Yes, I’m a little on the mad side with Twilight, but I would never/will never attack or verbally/mentally abuse someone just because they don’t like it.

Those ‘Crazy Twi-fans’ are the 14/15 year old girls that honestly can’t tell fact from fiction. The amount of older women at the Eclipse premier was amazing and they were all completely normal. It was the teens that were crying/screaming/trying to grab the actors.

There’s a problem with one of your points-

Burst into flames in the sunlight or find alternative (Negative)

Dracula, in the original novel, did not burn up in the sun, he was merely powerless and couldn’t shape-shift, hypnotize etc… while out in the sun(which he did once or twice). And, he could shift into the guise of, a bat, a cloud of mist/dust and a wolf(what a shocker) and in the original myth it was believed that when a werewolf died they became a vampire. I am still trying to figure out where the whole vampire/werewolf feud came from.
And by the way, it’s the Garlic flowers they are repulsed/are allergic two, not the bulbs.

Oh no- Can you picture Twilight being made into a manga? There goes Japan’s dignity… I mean, they’ve made everything ELSE Twilight-themed, why not manga?
