    First

  2. TheIncredileMrGQ says:

    Hmmm…

  3. ... says:

Disney didn’t try to hard with these two.

  4. durrr says:

wait you mean a scottish terrier looks like another scottish terrier?!?!?

    HOLY SHNIKES THAT’S JUST CRRRRRRRRAZY!

    • Your mom says:

Hahaha, I agree! Not only that, but they’re both made by Disney.

    • Audball says:

It’s almost like they’re the same breed or something!!!

      • SeaTac says:

I think they r the same dog
        like the same exact one.
They also had Lady near him

        • Audball says:

          I know…I was being sarcastic.

          • rachel says:

And SeaTac was suggesting that both are Jaque, not that it was just the same breed.

            • Audball says:

That would be silly…especially since the dogs have different names in the different movies.

              • Mike says:

It would not be silly at all. Disney movies have referenced
each other’s characters before. In fact, not long ago, the
movie Flushed Away referenced Finding Nemo.

                • Bella says:

Yes, and in Hercules, if you paid close attention to his cloak-thing, it
was Scar from The Lion King.

                • jd says:

fail. “flushed away” was dreamworks who, until kungfu panda, was only concerned with cheap jokes to get kids to whine until their parents took them to see the movie.

“finding nemo” is from pixar, the company that’s been doing amazing animaed movies since “toy story”. except we’ll pretend they didn’t make cars.

also disney is notorious for reusing animation. i’m sure if you searched totallylookslike you could find another one with baloo from jungle book and some other bear from another disney movie.

              • Cheeze says:

yes, but both movies were by the same company, so i wouldn’t be surprised if they were drawn from similar artist sketches. Why draw a whole new scottish terrier when there is a perfectly good one already?

                • Kendra says:

That’s exactly it, animation’s expensive and time consuming to produce so studios cut costs and save time by reusing old drawings. It’s that simple.

    • Jojo says:

Simply unacceptable! Every single animal must look very different. Otherwise we might assume they are from the same breed of animals. And that is something Disney does not do!

    • ydobon says:

Do you mean we guys just look the same to you, hmmmmm?

    • Kerin says:

took the words outta my mouth.

  5. Smort says:

Not even close, one has a blue collar while the dog’s is red. Comparison denied.

  6. Aikisenshi says:

Um, of course they look the same, they’re both Scottish Terrier dogs from the same era of Disney animators…

  7. A2 says:

a lot of this kinda thing was on purpose, since both movies featured all-dog casts.

    some trivia:
–During the twilight bark, after the poodle barks on the car, Tramp is seen on top of the car in the upper right corner. Lady is then seen running into the alley from the bottom left.

–Several of the characters from Lady and the Tramp (1955) can be seen in a pet shop window during the twilight bark sequence.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0055254/trivia

    • Your mom says:

Oh yeah, i remember that. Boy am I getting old!

      • Nightlyeclipse says:

Yeah, I was always convinced it was supposed to be the same dog. But Disney and Pixar love to do that kind of thing in their movies. I have fun trying to spot them all since I have to watch them so often with my kids.

        • in_a_box says:

That’s because they are the same dog. They are both Jaques. :D It’s fun to spot the same characters!

          • Audball says:

It isn’t the same dog. But, anyway, Disney does that a lot. Makes watching little kids’ movies interesting.

  8. Can’t a cartoon make a cameo, you people? ;-)

  9. Enrique says:

    I agree with redpilljunkie, it’s a cameo

  10. Mao says:

    Duh.

Pretty sure that was the joke.

  11. Even if they weren’t intended to be the same, Disney has been known to reuse character designs to save money. They freely admit to doing so with Robin Hood because they were low on cash at the time.

  12. momcat1958 says:

What?!? Can’t an actor have a part in more than one movie, whether they’re animal, human or animated? It’s like saying Mr. Deeds totally looks like Happy Gilmore…

  13. shaungrl says:

    Go medicate thy self…troll

  14. Max says:

Jacques***!!! Sorry, that bugs me. If you’re going to title something, spell it right.

    • Aby says:

Before you comment on spelling, get the name right. The dogs name is JOCK, not Jaque or Jaques!!! He is SCOTTISH TERRIER with a SCOTTISH name!!!

      • Maki says:

It is pronounced Jock but thats not how its spelled, genius.

        • K. says:

Actually, no, it is both pronounced and spelled JOCK. He’s a Scottie and Jock is a slang term for a Scotsman.

          • Maki says:

No. THere are other things, including peopel that have that name and it is pronounced JOCK but spelt JAQUES!

            • Audball says:

It is *spelled* Jacques in some languages/cultures, but he is a Scottish Terrier. And, just like K said, “Jock” is slang for a Scotsman. Disney does that a lot–uses little bits of trivia in names, etc. This Wikipedia entry lists the characters in Lady and the Tramp, and you can clearly see that the dog’s name is Jock. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_and_the_Tramp#Voice_cast

              • Maki says:

But unless you read that, you wouldnt know. Just because he was a Scottish Terrier wouldnt mean his name had to be spelled that way. He didn’t name him self you know. In reality the owner would. Not like his damn name matters anyways, its about the two looking alike.

                • Drive Me Mad says:

No, really, it’s Jock. Not Jaques, not Jaque, it’s Jock. He’s a Scottie dog. His name is Scottish, not French. Yes they sound alike, well done.

                  Don’t be retarded.

                  • Audball says:

Not retarded, just stubborn. Why else would they defend something when 4 people–just in this little response section–disagree?

                    • alicia says:

okayy its a look alike not a freakin sound alike okayy! god damm its a name of a cartoon character. i doubt its gunna be important somewhere in life.

            • Jock says:

Your an idiot – Its pronounced JOCK and spelled JOCK – he is a scottish dog with a scottish accent are you deaf?
Jacques is a french name and pronounced with a soft j. How embarrassing for you to argue a wrong point so passionately.

          • Aby says:

True dat. Jock is also Scots slang for the name John.

        • Aby says:

Yes, that’s EXACTLY how it’s spelled. I’m Scottish, I think I would know.

  15. Betsy says:

The reason these too look alike is because they’re the same drawings. Disney did this all the time, sometimes making slight attempts to change appearance by re-coloring the characters, sometimes making no effort at all to disguise it. Also making appearances in 101 Dalmatians are Lady, Tramp, Peg, Bull, and even some of the dalmatian pups painted in solid color.

    • Fishstick says:

They are not the same drawings.

      They are similar models.

You can tell this particularly around the muzzle, where the whiskers are sketched in. On the left, they are very sharp and fine. On the right, they are somewhat rounded.

Similar models, but not the same pieces, or artists.

  16. Leah says:

I defended Wooper, but this is ridiculous.

  17. Michelle says:

lol, i actually never noticed this. haha

  18. Aoife says:

Well, actors tend to look similar in each of their roles. Clooney always looks like Clooney, Streep always looks like Streep, so it makes sense that Scruffy is recognizable in each of his roles.

  19. Bubblegum says:

This was intentional, if you watch the twilight bark scene you see quite a few characters from Lady and the Tramp.

  20. Havoc says:

Of course it’s the same dog. He’s wearing his Disney dog tag. Shame he was type cast as a dog. Ruined his career. He was picked up on the street and euthanized with funding provided by PETA.

  21. Snickers says:

Its the same artist, so ofcoarse the same breed of dogs are going to look alike!

  22. paint says:

Disney notoriously recycles cells to save money it looks the same because it IS the same

    • Jojo says:

      Incorrect.

    • Nillin says:

The cells themselves were usually washed and reused, but Disney reuses animation all the time. It was really bad in the 60′s after Disney died and the studio was broke.

It got better after The Little Mermaid came out, but many of the low-budget sequels (Lion King 2, etc) continue to reuse animation from the original films.

  23. Fishstick says:

Scotty from 101 Dalmatians looks like Jaque from Lady and the Tramp, is what they meant to say.

Though, one would expect that Disney models would be pretty much the same especially when the same teams of animators worked on them;)

  24. mcnasty says:

and keanu reeves looks like keanu reeves in all his movies too….

    • Fouandre says:

The amount of people here that try to be funny and fail is overwhelming…

      Jeez…yeah it’s a scottish terrier….now get a life and shut up. :D

    • supergreek says:

Aye, but Keanu Reeves also acts like Keanu Reeves in all his movies as well…

  25. nathan says:

maybe because its the same breed of dog?
hey you know what i noticed….
my jack Russel totaly looks like my neighbors jack russel…..

    • Audball says:

No way! I saw a King Charles Spaniel in a pet store the other day, and I couldn’t help but think, “My God, that looks *just* like my King Charles Spaniel!”

  26. Your mom says:

You obviously cared enough to comment.

  27. Madoo says:

yay scotties!! Great dogs, very loving and protective. Lubness

  28. Caitlyn says:

OMG! That’s impossible! They are exactly the same except 4 the collar. The first one is from the first lady and the tramp, the second one is from lady and the tramp 2!

    • Audball says:

Um, movie fail. The first one is from 101 Dalmations, the second one is from Lady and the Tramp…I’m not quite sure how you missed the labels.

  29. Isabella says:

LOL maybe Disney isn’t so creative after all XD

  30. randombookworm says:

if you watch Oliver and company, you see the 101 dalmation dogs in the ‘Why should i worry song.

  31. Traitorfish says:

Considering, as people’ve said, it’s the same breed by the same company, I’m actually a little suprised that they look as distinct as they do.

  32. Cakesauce says:

RACISM, THEY DONT LOOK ALIKE AT ALL, JUST BECAUSE THEY’RE BOTH SCOTTISH TERRIERS DOESN’T MEAN THEY LOOK THE SAME!

  33. Lennypink says:

Pretty sure it’s actually Jock, not Jacques, cus he is Scottish and all :-)

  34. mohegon says:

that’s because it is the dog from lady and the tramp. lady, peg, and the other dog is also in 101 dalmations.

  35. Floatout2sea says:

That was on purpose. In fact on the 101 dalmation dvd they tell you to look for the lady and the tramp characters.

  36. LOLOtter says:

Well atleast there wont be any law suits because its the same company!

    • Audball says:

Although, if they *were* created by two different companies, a lawsuit wouldn’t really hold up. The drawings are based on a breed of dog. No one owns rights to a dog breed. ;)

  37. kabaker says:

They ARE the same dog. Watch the special features on the 101 dalmatians DVD. They did this on purpose.

  38. Jason Chan says:

    Same dog, Different name

  39. Tomlette says:

They are the same dog. Disney sneeks characters from other animated movies into whatever they’re working on at the time. Bell is in Hunchback of Norte Dame and Scar (well, his hide) is in Hercules

  40. stepper says:

Wow, I just noticed, this spaceman with a jetpack and rockets in Toy Story, totally looks like the spaceman with a jetpack and rockets in Toy Story 2. That’s Disney for ya.

  41. Personage says:

That dog from 101 Dalmations is actually intended to be the same dog. Kind of an inside… joke… thingus.

    • Audball says:

Kinda like at Disney World (in Florida)…the dog in the prison scene in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride looks just like the dog in the Carousel of Progress.

  42. nixonagnew says:

that’s quite obviously because 1) they’re the same breed, 2) they’re drawn by the same company. Moreover, I can’t believe this made the page. Ugh.

  43. Audball says:

Well, it saved time, as well…it wasn’t *all* about money. That, and Disney’s all about throwing in little bits of trivia.

  44. Melissa says:

Um, perhaps they look the same… because they are infact the same breed of dog.

    Duh?

  45. emonopoli says:

they look alike because disney uses a lot of the same animations for movies. it saves money and time.

  46. WebNinja says:

They are the exact same dog. As someone already said, Disney reused the animation from Lady and the Tramp as “filler” animation. Lady is in there somewhere too. So they are, in fact, the exact same dog.

  47. katiedid says:

come on cant you see that they are the same dog? fyi they got it messed up. the right should be the left and the left should be the right

  48. Vanessa Lopez says:

I agree with those saying that Disney is notorious for reusing/repurposing their old animation.
The most glaring example of this that I have seen is the song “Everybody Wants to be a Cat” in the movie The Aristocats. The scenes with the band match perfectly with the dance scene in Robin Hood when they sing “Phony King of England”.
Also, most of the characters and some of the scenes from Robin Hood occur identically in Bed-knobs and Broomsticks.
Here’s a fantastic article on the subject. Some great side-by-side comparison shots.

    http://www.prodisney.ru/index.php?page=clones.php

  49. Me says:

It’s called a cameo. Disney does that in their films.

  50. Kayla says:

In every disney movie, something from another Disney movie appears. It’s like their trademark.

  51. becerto says:

These two dogs are the same. In the movie “101 dalmatians” there’s a scene in that you can see also “Gilda” and the English bulldog from the movie “Lady and the Tramp”, in a showcase of a pet shop.

  52. Nessa says:

Disney spells Jock’s name “Jock”, not French. On the subtitles for the movie.

  53. kuni says:

wow. they look so alike. amazing. maybe cuz ther the same fricken breed? a slice of pepperoni pizza will look like a slice of pepperoni pizza from a different box. ur amazing

    • Wesley Riot says:

same breed maybe, but they arent *real* dogs, in other words, they could have been drawn differently. made to look like different characters. but no, disney laziness!

  54. Wesley Riot says:

Disney recycling its own characters? ohh noooees the horror. at least they never recycle their own animation. oh wait….

  55. Alex says:

Haha, he’s supposed to. If you listen to the commentary or look up facts about the movie you’ll find out that they are, in fact, the same character. :-)

  56. Beth says:

They’re supposed to be the same character. :)

So, yes, they do look alike!

  57. Samantha says:

What ya gonna do? It’s Disney for ya

  58. red says:

disney reused alot of art in its movies. the band that plays in robin hood durring the phonk king of england song are the cats in everybody wants to be a cat in aristocats

  59. KraftyKev says:

yay .. im glad the ppl posting got it this time .. only person who made this comparrison is an idiot … same breed both disney .. yeah .. you all get the idea this time .. as for you whoever made this .. .. you get todays idiot stamp of approval!!

  60. AmandaLily says:

that is the same dog. same character. used in both movies.

    • michelle says:

Absolutely. The dog, plus a bunch of others from Lady and The Tramp had guest appearances on 101 Dalmatians.

  61. Jenna Rink says:

Yeah, both of da dogs be Scotties. Duh!

  62. Charley says:

err guys, this dog’s from the same film. Jaques is only in Lady and the Tramp. not in 101 dalmations…
i don’t think disney are stupid enough as to use the same dog character design in two films…..
i am pretty sure that Jaques is only in Lady and the Tramp…anyone wants to prove me wrong, get a screenshot of Jaques in 101 dalmations and i will believe you…

  63. shannonfae says:

That’s becaues it actually is the same dog. It was done like that on purpose.

  64. chewie says:

Oh my. These are cute dogs

  65. mar says:

lol..probably the same artist purposely making them the same?

  66. darcie says:

they did it on purpose. it’s supposed to be the same dog. you’ll notice also that the other two main pound dogs from lady and the tramp are in the pet shop window. (bulldog and that girl dog). and the hound dog in 101 dalmations is the same dog from lady and the tramp too.

  67. uneek says:

Both of these movies were made by the same company, in the same era of animation, and most likely worked by the same people. And both dogs are of the same breed.

  68. Oino says:

It’s kinda like hiring the same actor to play 2 different parts 9_9

  69. Niki says:

They are suppose to be the same dog. Lady and Tramp are also in the movie 101 Dalmatians.

  70. crystal says:

if you go thrugh Disney movies there are many many similarities. take the jungle book and the sword in the stone…in the jungle book if you look at the part where mogli is being licked by all the wolves it is the same as when the boy in the sword is being licked by the dogs in the castle.

  71. sandy shores says:

ITS CAUSE HE ISNT WHITE? U PPL R RACIST!!!!!!!!!!

  72. Silver Wolf says:

Also in that movie Oliver In Company Jaque AND Trusty (the bloodhound) AND Pongo (101 dalmations) appear at the end of the “Why Should I worry song”

  73. puppyem says:

HOLY CRAP THEY DO LOOK THE SAME! o.o

  74. i says:

    what kinda doggy is this???

  75. TaintedRose says:

OMG people, it’s Jock, how many times do people have to post that

    Jock – scottish
    Jaque – french

as a scottish terrier he has the scottish style name!
all the animals are named either for traits that they show or refrencing where they are from (except for Peg, i think, that’s probably a refence to Peggy Lee who voiced Peg)

  76. Victoria (: says:

If you look in the movie ‘Oliver and Company’ , a hand-drawn Disney film, you’ll notice towards the beginning of the movie, during Dodger’s ‘Why Should I worry?’ little.. scene, there is a terrier that looks exactly like Jaque, except for his collar tag, which is in the shape of a circle as opposed to a diamond. (:

  77. MadKat212 says:

of course they look the same it s from disney

  78. giggidy says:

WE ARE THE KNIGHTS WHO SAY……NI!

  79. Soph says:

    I Liek Mudkipz ^_^

  80. Soph says:

Apparently it was an inside joke between writers. look on google for a while, it says that the producers & writers wanted other characters to be included as a joke :P x

  81. Soph says:

to conclude all past comments : It’s not just a similarity, it’s purposeful. (basically a cameo appearance). The name is Jock not Jacque as he is a scottish dog with a scottish name. Some people like to quote monty python because they like the movie. Others do not. I remain impartial on the subject of it until my friend stops bugging me to watch it :) 1 person thinks he is cool for saying “first” first (no judgement here). 1 Person I think is hilarious because he’s “FIRING HIS LASOORRR” (No sarcasm intended, he/she seems like a very funny person :P ) 1 other person I think has great taste because they quote family guy ;) Love the show. Jock is a black scottish terrier NOT a miniature schnauzer. Other disney cameo appearances include Peg and lady and the tramp in 101 dalmatians. Just thought I’d sum everything up! <3 Giggity. xx

  82. Dan says:

When I was a kid, I thought they were the same dog

  83. sportske says:

of course like your website however you have to check the spelling on several of your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling problems and I find it very troublesome to tell the truth nevertheless I will certainly come back again.

  84. jeffery says:

WTF ARE YOU PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT

  85. Amethyst says:

Monty python and the search for the holy grail.
