The FONT on the items, yes. The items themselves? Not so much.
If you found that funny, your a sick and evil basterd and should be shot!
Little aggressive on that opinion don’t ya think. But I do agree that it is a pretty stupid look alike. But to be shot for liking it, honestly, that’s just crazy.
Hey, illiterate: it’s “you’re” not “your”. And check your spelling on “bastard”. You’re not Quintin Tarantino. Dumbass.
You’re under arrest for impersonating an officer.
It’s Quentin Tarantino.
Agreed. A “hat” is a 3-dimensional object. A “logo” is 2-dimensional. In this case, they do not look similar.
Wow, aren’t you math wizzy?
Yes, I am. Contrary to popular belief, 2 does not equal 3.
lmao *thumbs up*
You know, the fonts aren’t that similar either! It’s just a cursive letter W on a red background people! This isn’t even elementary- this is preschool, people! Are people really surprised that two companies chose a cursive letter on a primary colour background?
Yeah, you’re right. MOST fonts feature a w with a loop in the center. Good point!
Omg…how is this funny?
My response to everything posted on this site. Seriously.
And yet.. even though he doesn’t think that anything is funny, he continues to read the site and post comments.
Now THAT’S funny.
Are you serious?? A ‘w’ looks like another ‘w’???
This has changed my outlook on life permanently.
leave utube bithc
I TOTALLY agree.
To Ben I mean. Not sure what YOU are talking about anonymous.
It’s the FONT of the Nationals’ cap and the Walgreen’s logo. That’s why people think it’s funny. I personally don’t, I find the Nationals’ quality of play funny. They’re the worst team in the majors and had 102 losses last season.
I added as a favorite because it is a great effort. The font is VERY similar. And who are the Washington Nationals?
They’re a Major League Baseball team, based in Washington, D.C. or thereabouts.
And the Nats (Nationals’ nickname) are the worst team in baseball, that’s probably why you haven’t heard of them
A W on a red background looks like a W on a red background? BLASPHEMY!!!
Thats a DUM DUM DUM DUM DOUBLE DUM look alike. Many people sign there W’s the same way. And my logos have a red background DUH.
I mean MANY logo have a red background. That was a typo.
The point is that’s a specifically stylized W, with only the starting serif varying a little. With all the ways to make a W, they chose extremely similar ones. The fact that they’re both on red fields due to company colors doesn’t help.
Go Nats!
Amen to that, Chris.
I smell corporate sponsorship! Walgreen’s National Stadium here we come!
I’m wearing that hat right now.
Okay, the Senators used the same “W” logo, so I’m pretty sure that Walgreens would be the one accused of stealing if the accusation is to be made. Not that it would since the logo is just a letter in a common font.
Walgreens has been using that “W” font since 1901. The Senators didn’t adopt that font until the 60′s.
No, I’m pretty sure the Senators had the curly W during the 20s or 30s. But I can’t be sure.
a duh! It’s the FONT that is what’s being compared not the object itself. Jeezus!
Maybe Walgreens offers the Nationals free performance enhancing drugs if they wear the W. There are zillions of different ways you can do a W. Those look close enough to merit a lawsuit.
Walgreen’s must think the the Nationals are advertising their store. Why else wouldn’t they sue?
Haha, yeah. I actually didn’t know the Washington Nationals hat meant ‘Washington Nationals’ for years.
I just always thought everyone was going around wearing Walgreen’s hats. I was always like, “Oooh, Walgreen’s. You’re cool.”
xD
Dangit… I though I was one of the first one to notice this!
i give them credit for the effort ,although it is not a particularly funny lookalike.
i was telling my cousin about the team the nats and she thought i meant gnats and got really confused!
i think nats is a kinda dumb name for a team – the nat in national is not even pronounced like that, and it could stand for anything, the NATional food company, NATional inquiries………….???
Wow all of you obviously aren’t into sports enough to get the humor here
So, which one was designed first?
Yes this is ecaltxy what we need! I need to trade an Ice Cream Kitteh and it would be ideal to have somewhere to go just to do that.
I KNOW RIGHT?? i’ve been saying that all along! Finally someone who UNDERSTANDS!!! =P
Ok- total validation tonight. Watched Top Chef and noticed “W”of baseball team logo… Then driving to work next morning, saw Walgreens truck and had flashback of show with logo /script….same font? I googled and didnt find any link the other day. Now, I found your post. Voila, awesome! There is def. a connection… so, now what is Walgreens have to do w/The Wash. Nationals? You cant deny the logos are so close, and wouldnt that be some sort of copyright/logo infringement? Anyway, its way cool to see someone who sees connections in movies, films, TV, and everyday life…any questions. Conscious Awareness can be a gift and a curse. Try getting through and episode of House, Burn Notice, or Lie-to-Me and not pause to notice color schemes, background signsm et al. Best- Dax
they both have something in common, they both suck!
