The FONT on the items, yes. The items themselves? Not so much.

  2. ... says:

    Omg…how is this funny?

  3. Ben says:

Are you serious?? A ‘w’ looks like another ‘w’???
This has changed my outlook on life permanently.

  4. Madi says:

I added as a favorite because it is a great effort. The font is VERY similar. And who are the Washington Nationals?

  5. RiderLeangle says:

A W on a red background looks like a W on a red background? BLASPHEMY!!!

  6. Blue says:

Thats a DUM DUM DUM DUM DOUBLE DUM look alike. Many people sign there W’s the same way. And my logos have a red background DUH.

  7. Blue says:

I mean MANY logo have a red background. That was a typo.

  8. SKW says:

The point is that’s a specifically stylized W, with only the starting serif varying a little. With all the ways to make a W, they chose extremely similar ones. The fact that they’re both on red fields due to company colors doesn’t help.

  9. Chris Thomas says:

    Go Nats!

  10. I smell corporate sponsorship! Walgreen’s National Stadium here we come!

  11. personjfreak says:

I’m wearing that hat right now.

  12. BS says:

Okay, the Senators used the same “W” logo, so I’m pretty sure that Walgreens would be the one accused of stealing if the accusation is to be made. Not that it would since the logo is just a letter in a common font.

  13. KBME says:

a duh! It’s the FONT that is what’s being compared not the object itself. Jeezus!

  14. CS says:

Maybe Walgreens offers the Nationals free performance enhancing drugs if they wear the W. There are zillions of different ways you can do a W. Those look close enough to merit a lawsuit.

  15. Kelsey says:

Haha, yeah. I actually didn’t know the Washington Nationals hat meant ‘Washington Nationals’ for years.
I just always thought everyone was going around wearing Walgreen’s hats. I was always like, “Oooh, Walgreen’s. You’re cool.”
    xD

  16. MSU says:

Dangit… I though I was one of the first one to notice this!

  17. Dulcie Boote (yes that is my surname-dont laugh!) says:

i give them credit for the effort ,although it is not a particularly funny lookalike.
i was telling my cousin about the team the nats and she thought i meant gnats and got really confused!
i think nats is a kinda dumb name for a team – the nat in national is not even pronounced like that, and it could stand for anything, the NATional food company, NATional inquiries………….???

  18. Jonny Hightower says:

Wow all of you obviously aren’t into sports enough to get the humor here

  19. David nau says:

So, which one was designed first?

  20. Pandie says:

I KNOW RIGHT?? i’ve been saying that all along! Finally someone who UNDERSTANDS!!! =P

  21. Dax says:

Ok- total validation tonight. Watched Top Chef and noticed “W”of baseball team logo… Then driving to work next morning, saw Walgreens truck and had flashback of show with logo /script….same font? I googled and didnt find any link the other day. Now, I found your post. Voila, awesome! There is def. a connection… so, now what is Walgreens have to do w/The Wash. Nationals? You cant deny the logos are so close, and wouldnt that be some sort of copyright/logo infringement? Anyway, its way cool to see someone who sees connections in movies, films, TV, and everyday life…any questions. Conscious Awareness can be a gift and a curse. Try getting through and episode of House, Burn Notice, or Lie-to-Me and not pause to notice color schemes, background signsm et al. Best- Dax
