    Dr. Destiny came out WAY before stupid Skeletor! Dr. Destiny = 1961, Skeletor = 1981! So it should be the other way around: Skeletor totally looks like Dr. Destiny

  13. In reality, Dr. Destiny came first (1961 if I’m not mistaken). He’s kindof the precursor to both Skeletor (in appearance) and Freddy Krueger (in his powers). As much as Mattel and Filmation would claim otherwise, I am almost positive that the basis for Skeletor’s design was the original Dr. Destiny from DC comics. On the other hand, Wes Craven’s Freddy was an entirely independent creation, even if his powers are very similar to those of Dr. Destiny.
