Actually, Sam (world’s ugliest dog) died a few years back, much to the sorrow of his owner. He’s survived by his widow, Tater Tot, who also regularly places in ugly-dog contests, but is the cutest little ugly dog you’ve ever seen.

He was born a Chinese Crested, which is all that needs to be wrong with him. They’re naked except for tufts of fur on their heads, ankles and tails, which leaves them open to skin conditions. They’re also prone to losing teeth and getting cataracts. Overbreeding–you’re looking at it!

I’ve seen a picture of this dog years ago – never thought I’d see it again. Is the Chinese Crested bred for ugliness? And what happened to his teeth? Actually they kind of look like human teeth that have never seen a dentist. Anyhoo … It’s a total look-alike. Good job!
