Actually… King is based on “Tiger Mask” the japan anime/manga. They might look totally the same, but they have obvious differences; King wears a jaguar mask (jaguar mouth can move back in tekken2 but it no longer can in the new games.) while guin(as far as i know) has a leopard head (that’s no maski is it?). He can move his mouth whiskers etc. Guin can speak, however king can only growl. … Good look a like though!

Actually King from Tekkan is based on Guin who came first, in Japan at least. It just took a while for it to reach American audiences.

THIS. the first Guin Saga novel was released that year, with 126 novels being released in the main series and 22 sidestories, as well as a manga sidestory and an anime adaption of the first arc of the novels airing now. sadly, the author recently passed away from cancer, so no ending to the series.

While it does say “funny” under the sidebar, I doubt anyone’s getting belly laughs from stuff like “product logo totally looks like other product logo” or “book cover totally looks like other book cover”, either, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t amusing.
