They are actually the same person but ala Trek lebenity leven the Enterprise travelled back to when ( and convoluted shaky plot entails) Suffice it to say whiskey in stardate ********* doesn’t ravage a person as bad as this barbaric swill we are stuck with!

thats correct. i think the closet ever uttered to beam me up scotty was scotty beam me up in star trek 4 the voyage home. which really wasnt to accurate since kirk was standing infront of the ship more or less and it wasnt in orbit so it wasnt really up. unless you count that the bottom of the ship was about 2 feet off the ground while on the landing struts.

Scotty (TV show character played by James Doohan premier 1966-1969) came before Mr. Belvedere (1985-90 TV Show character as played by Christopher Hewett- not the book it’s from (1947) or previous movies with other actors that don’t look like Doohan), so: Mr.Belvedere would have been a decendant of Scotty. Even though Doohan was born only 2 years before Hewett.
