You meant to say, ‘sexually active people with no sense of good hygiene’. I can only imagine how long it takes for dust mites to be attracted to, get to, and lay eggs and hatch to make 2 million of them. They do not magically appear with seminal fluids as the dust-mite fairy of love or something. Anyone filthy enough to not change thier bedding while thier partner is in the restroom or after they clean up, BEFORE they get back in bed probably should not be mating or breeding. There are very few exceptions, like, if a sheet-stealing freak broke into your home.

And it actually gets within the body and takes control this way. Headcrabs simply latch onto the head and control the body through a direct connection with the brain (and nervous system through the brain).

And to think… Headcrabs are the least of your worries in the games.

In the Half-Life series, headcrabs are small parasitic creatures. They latch onto a human’s skull, taking over their nervous system and mutating them into monstrosities.
