Actually if you look at the entire painting, the gentleman in red is the ONLY one fully clothed. There is another just wearing pants and two others aside from the one in this cropped piece we see here.
It’s the professor… why is he’s staring at him like that? Well perhaps this explains why Gilligan never got it on with MaryAnn or Ginger.. or the meaning of the nickname “Li’l Buddy”…

I seem to recall that Gilligan always talked about his best pal, Skinny Mulligan. I think we now have an idea of what Gilligan and Skinny used to get up to back home, and possibly why Gilligan always seemed so oblivious to Ginger’s and Mary-Ann’s charms…
