When I first saw Adam Savage from Myth Busters I laughed. That red hair and glasses reminded me of a certain Elfman with that spooky sound. I wish Tim, Danny and their Rat Pack the best of success.

Elfman did’t really write the Futurama theme, he admits that he derived it from another song, almost note for note. It’s called “Psyche Rock” by Christopher Tyng. You can find it on Youtube quite easily.

But there is no clear cut winner on who is cooler, which is where I have issues. Both are huge dorks, only one likes to blow stuff up for a living (who doesn’t?) and the other likes to write the most complicated piece written for tubular bells (Futurama theme) in at least the last century if not longer. They’re both clearly complete and utter nerds…but I do not know which is the cooler of the nerds.
