yes, true. It’s the strongest creature on this planet.
It will survive almost anything.
Besides surviving being frozen, I also believe that they can stand a 1000x more radiation than humans.
They can do w/o water for years and you can even boil them. They’ll still be alive.

that’s a tardigrade…not a water bear. i point this out because tardigrades can actually live for many, many years without a source of water. so waterbear is a misnomer, even as a nickname.

I always wondered what the reason for the six legs were, and why Appa really doesn’t look like a bison at all. It all makes so much sense now o.o.

*memories of my old water bear report* I remember reading somewhere that water bears can freeze up in cold weather and remain that way until it warms up and they defrost so that they can get back to their lives. Maybe that’s why they chose to make Appa look like a water bear?

I believe that Dev Patel is the least of our worries. If he has any acting chops at all he can act mad all the time and the special effects department will take care of the scar. What about Shaun Toub as Uncle Iroh? I love Iroh and I fear for this character more than Zuko.
