  1. Alex says:

    First!

  2. I think that was intentional. Soundgarden did it as a tribute to Chase Electric.

  3. Jaded Cynic says:

Interesting; I wonder where they both got the idea from originally?

  4. Jaded Cynic says:

…don’t get me wrong, I’m pretty confident that the graphic artist who worked up the album cover for Soundgarden preceded the graphic artist who designed the logo for Chase Electric, but I’m curious what the common source they were both independently inspired from.

  5. Biffco says:

Well, Chase Electrics phone number is right there in the photo… give them a call and ask.

  6. Say Cheese! says:

what the heck is that symbol anyway?

  7. professor annoying says:

    sigh.

  8. Jon says:

I’m pretty sure Chase Electric simply ripped off the Soundgarten logo.

  9. rectangle says:

well they definitely totally look alike

  10. ROFLatapus says:

It’s not a Soundgarden logo. It’s the logo for BadMotorFinger- one of their albums.

  11. Sheesh says:

Thank you for knocking that hideous picture of Joe Jackson off the top. UGH.

  12. Ubeat2trees says:

    Wow.

  13. Kiragirl says:

It looks like a cool (old) 45 speed record center insert (for those who remember).

  14. ill-dizzl says:

Chase Electric is Soundgarden’s day job, duh

  15. domordaver says:

Well, Chase Electric has a website, and they’re based in Snohomish, Washington state. Soundgarden was based in Seattle, about 30 miles southwest of Snohomish.

There are other Chase Electrics listed around that area, but I haven’t determined if they’re related or how long any of them have been around. Badmotorfinger was released in 1991.

The lightning bolts on the Chase logo do not overlap as on the Badmotorfinger logo, but it’s close.

  16. Ordinal Man says:

is that what soundgarden looks like , i always thought they would be more …i don’t know ….human ,i guess !

  17. Dudemanbro says:

Has anyone called Chase Electric and actually gotten through? What did they say?

  18. you fail it says:

Chances are good the owner is just a Soundgarden fan. This is a rare instance of samething that is actually funny given how out of context it is.

  19. Soundgardener says:

Very suspicious. It looks rather obvious that the design has been ripped off by Chase Electric. In that case i hope it was at least a fan who did it.

    Badmotorfinger kicks huge ass anyway.

  20. Dermonk says:

The album cover for Soundgarden’s Badmotorfinger was illustrated by guitarist Mark Dancey from the Sub Pop band Big Chief.

lol you have to be high to understand any soundgarden music video, even though they were my favourite 90′s band

  22. Former employee says:

I used to work for them. The logo IS the soundgarden logo. He liked it and used it. thats all. the designer of the logo incorporated it into the CHase sign.
