I’ve seen some pretty ratty drag queens, unfortunately.

There’s a series of instruction videos on the intarwebz – I can’t remember where, curse me – wherein a successful queen actually demonstrates with a nice young man as her model, how to doll oneself up as a queen. It was really informative (how to tell a good wig from a bad one, how to choose colours for makeup and clothing, what styles to choose, etc.).

Agreed, that the wig looks like it’s well past its prime; or it could simply have some sort of finish on it (spray or otherwise) that makes it turn out crummy in photos.

Yeah he/she could get a better wig. That’s what happens when a plastic or nylon wig gets old and ratty looking. Also the lipstick is wrong shade – too bright.
Is it my screen or does he kind of resemble Steve Tyler?
