Regardless of the difference in facial structures, Dave Vanian is pretty Neat neat neat.

Actually, I’m not convinced this was on purpose. Interviews with Burton show that the white streak in black hair was an idea of the wig maker’s, rather than Burton himself, and many of Burton’s dramatic live actions have a pasty pale lead with dark hair and eyes and high contrast makeup.

I don’t know much about The Damned, but I could see it going either way.

You two smoke something unpleasant, don’t you?

They have pale skin, a streak in a similar place, sideburns, pert lips, deep-set eyes, high cheekbones, aquiline nose and a similar peak at their forehead.

This is all aside from the positioning they are in, and the gray tones of both photos.
