I really like this one. You can’t compare these 2 things to anything else. For an example, If you knew nothing at all about that sackboy and 9 and they were both thrown in with a group of objects…four. Lets say maybe a teddy bear and a barbie doll. You are told that two of the four objects would be in the same movie. If you were asked to choose between the four knowing nothing about them. You would most likely choose the sackboy and 9 thinking they were the same because of that zipper and fabric material looking so alike. See my point?

plus if I remember correctly the short film took 4 years to make on top of that as well, so the short films production actually started during 2001. ( I <3 the making of "9")

Only if you have no concept of what “First” means.

“9″ was a short film originally released in 2005. The “9″ that’s currently in theaters is an extension of that short film.

“Little Big Planet” was released in 2007.

Now, can you tell me, which year happened first? 2005, or 2007?

If you read the above comments, you’d know that the concept for “9″ actually existed two years before Little Big Planet came out. It’s not a rip, they’re just two similar characters who happened to come out around the same time. Not to mention, the movie 9 as a whole is completely different atmosphere, style, story, etc than Little Big Planet. One’s about toys coming to life and the other one about a post apocalyptic world. Doesn’t sound like a rip to me.

Agreed.

Rascim is a real issue, but todays media does blow it out of porportion, calling “racist!” at every ridiculous opportunity, which is where the format for Queen of the World’s posts originated. While Queen is getting rather annoying, I do not believe that the comments are really offensive to anyone unless someone MAKES it offensive to them.

Simply put, get over the troll already, it’s not that big a deal.

To the people of Totally Looks Like:

I’ve been acquainted with this site for a long time. I often find the TLLs, as well as some of the comments, amusing. I have deep concerns about this person, though. Whoever “Queen of the World” is, he or she shows no consideration for others with his or her cries of racism on every single photo comparison. I have to assume “she” thinks racism is funny. It is not. I have seen people asking her nicely to stop. I have seen people asking her abrasively to stop. I have seen people demand that she cease and desist, but still she goes on, putting offensive entries on this site every day. Why do the moderators not stop this? I do not know, but I have had enough. If I can find no way to contact the moderators and have her removed from this site, I will have to stop coming here myself. It’s not like this is a political platform, but this person is truly offensive to everyone and I prefer not to have her drivel imposed upon me every day. It would be more effective if a bunch of TLL users did this at the same time so that the ICHC people can see we do not appreciate being called racists every day. This person engages in domestic terrorism and it should not be tolerated by any of us any longer.

You see, THAT is what racism really does. That is where its cause lies. One person or group of people in a community acting so foul that they cause the original residents to move away from the homes they built in order to find safety from persecution elsewhere. Unfair treatment of some people compared to others because of some real or imagined offense perceived by the perpetrator. Most of all, racism separates. It separates people who should be friends. It separates people who should be working together in a united effort. Race should not make a difference in America at all, ever. But unfortunately, it all too often does, and there is no humor in that at all, EVER.

I am coming before all the community of TLL, not to give “Queen of the World” the public apology she so pitifully keeps begging for, but to issue a public call to action. Please examine yourselves. Endeavor to rid yourselves of whatever racism you may be holding on to. It is a serious issue and should never be treated so lightly as this queen person makes it seem.

I know this was a long entry. I’m hoping to attract the attention of the moderators, as well as anyone who wants to improve the site — and the world. Thanks for reading all the way to the end. J

before my friends knew about this movie i have always described it to them as “sack boy epically fighting robots in a post apocalyptic steam punk world”

I’m willing to bet half of the people saying it doesn’t look alike are part of the Sony defense force.

I think we would get the same reaction if we put up “master chief totally looks like the guy from doom (or a giant douche-bag) from the Microsoft defense force, or if we put up “Zerg totally look like Tyranids” from the Blizzard defense force.

Following LittleBigPlanet, a movie was made that used a sack people-like person, with a zipper on the front and everything.

9 is a blatant rip off of LittleBigPlanet.
