It looks like someone slapped 2 different pictures together and tried to pass them off as “looking alike”. Seriously-could that person of tried harder to find something that totally looks like Loudred instead of grabbing some random photo of some random guy with his mouth wide open? These barely even look like eachother…the only resemblance is the teeth. I highyl doubt teeth alone would make 2 radically different pictures “look exactly like eachother.” This is like taking a photo of very angry Scar from Lion king and a photo of really happy Goku from Dragon Ball,slapping the 2 photos together and trying to pass them off as “looking exactly alike” become of the black hair/black mane.

While it is somewhat rude, identifying someone’s ethnicity in itself is not racism. Going up to, for argument’s sake, a purple person, and saying “Hey! You’ re purple!” is not racist. It only becomes racist when you begin to make presumptions and opinions solely based on race. Like saying,

“Hey, you’re purple! Purple people are dumb and lazy. So I’m not giving this job!”

NOW you’re being racist. Notice the difference between

“Hey, you’re purple!”

and

“Hey, you’re purple! Purple people are dumb and lazy. So I’m not giving this job!” ?

Right. I don’t see how the word black is racist. And I don’t think people should be called African Amercian unless they or their parents were born there. If we are going to start calling all Black people African American then you’ll have to call me European American since my grandparents were born in Italy and Ireland. For crying out loud. And Considering that the majority of black ancestors were brought here way before my grandparents came to the States – they have more American roots than I do. People are ignorant.

Wow. It’s really sad how much argument there’s been over this. If he was white, it would be “Toothless Redneck totally looks like Loudred”. Really.

By the way, how DARE this point out that he’s toothless?! He probably gets judged based on that every day of his life. It’s really quite sad how little progress has been made against tooth prejudice. Even though our first President, George Washington, was toothless, there are still disgusting signs of toothism present today. I hope that some day toothless-americans will get the respect that they deserve.

(BTW, if you want to combat racism, that’s fantastic. But this is not the place to do it. There are serious acts of racism all over America, and this is NOT ONE OF THEM. This kind of thing can be dealt with after the biggies are taken care of. Don’t waste your time on this now.)

But unfortunately you don’t know how to read!!! Why I you calling me a Racist for pointing out that other people are being Racist? That makes no sense.

I wasn’t calling the White Idiot an Idiot because he (or she) was white, but because they are an IDIOT (who doesn’t know how to read) who just happens to be white.

And this is obvious because nearly all the Idiots in America who don’t know what Racism is, happen to be WHITE (and yes, there are a few Idiots in every other Group too). Certain Images have a Historical Connotation that is undeniable. It isn’t the wording in this Lookalike that bothers me. It’s the context of the Imagery put it into that Historical perspective.

But if you start learning about the History, Sociology, Politics, and Economics of Racism NOW, you will have a head start on many of the adults posting on this forum.

I never suggested they didn’t look alike. And yes, it’s mildly amusing.

But why should I not point out the racism, intended or not, that this comparison evokes. Contrary to your statement, that is precisely how individuals “change the world”.

Did Malcolm X and MLK just “move on” and ignore the racism? I don’t think so. I’m not saying I’m in their league, but if just a couple of people at least consider that my comments might have some merit, it’s a step in the right direction.

Why point it out? Your not going to change the world. Its a picture. They may or may not look alike depending on how you look at it. Also, its not the big lips that make them look similar, its the lack of teeth and the expression. It could have been on anybody, and it would have been equally funny. However I find it very offensive because not only is the work “black” unnecesary, but a picture like this is what keeps the around the belief that Non-whites are homeless or poor and uneducated. This picture should be removed, or the caption should be edited.
