once you get to know the two, you’ll find they’re quite different. (e.g. where’s the paedo character in the simpsons?)
and alot of things are copies of others, liek the xbox.

i for one quite enjoy both family guy and the simpsons, but in different ways.

He’s addressed as “Mr Herbert” by Chris Griffin because the boy has some manners! The adults just call him Herbert, and undoubtedly the fact that that almost rhymes with “pervert” was crystal clear to Seth McFarlane. Best TLL in a while…

I’ve seen episodes where Chris and other younger characters call him Mr. Herbert. Even if it is his first name, its how the kids address him. And yes this is one of the most creepy TLLS I have ever seen!!

Mr Herbert doesn’t fit very well, because though his surname never has been mentioned, he surely has been decleared as “Herbert” in some episodes.

Also the rhyme, Herbert, the pervert wouldn’t really do it.
