I dunno, I thought the Elf things in Hellboy II looked a lot like Blood Elves from WoW. Blood Elves trying to enlist the help of a demon in order to rule the world…wasn’t that part of the plot of The Burning Crusade?

Hellboy (the comic series) was released in 1993 and WoW was released in 1994…and the Burning Crusade expansion with the Blood elves wasn’t released untill 2007.
