I actually think that this is just a picture that happened to really look like the one from the game, but isn’t actually a copy.
This is the same pic from the Kansas City RenFest posters, too. I smell a corporate conspiracy… We must rise up!
and was also used for the Minnesota RenFest. The owner (MidAmerica Festivals) wanted it that way.
I think someone hired a lazy graphic artist who plagarizes rather than coming up with original ideas.
The question is: which came first – the video game or the RenFest poster?
Pretty sure it’s the RenFest poster, since I remember seeing that poster for years.
How can you have a renaissence festival in america, the renaissence was over before America as a country existed.

And the medieval period was over when the Renaissance began so WTF with that image anyway?

This game has been out for well over three years. And the picture from the poster is clearly lifted straight from the game cover, then given a bit of recolouring. I love the smell of plagiarism in the morning!
Actually, im pretty sure ive seen similar pictures elsewhere. I do not think the original was made by the medieval total war II art department.
Do any of these festivals even know what the Renaissance was about? I would love to go to a Renaissance festival that was about THE RENAISSANCE.
Looks like they just shopped the Medieval image a little bit. Clearly it’s the same guy just a bit altered.
How to make Renaissance Fair Poster:
1. Find picture of king/knight.
2. Scan into photoshop.
3. Clean up face.
4. Change some colors.
5. Change sword/scepter style.
6. Add poster stuff.
it just makes me want to ask, how hard is it to draw a king-dude? not very, you know?
Don’t jump to conclusions, they actually plagiarized from someone else. This piracy stems all the way back to the Medieval times when the painting was actually made.
If this is based on a medieval painting, I’m going to eat my shirt. Right here.
