  3. epicat says:

There is a difference between “Totally looks like” and “Is identical to”

  4. Technomancer says:

The Scorpions one (Send Me an Angel single) came out in 1990, the Black Sabbath one (Cross Purposes) came out in 1994, so the order is right.

  5. zomgWUT says:

    inb4homagerants imo

  6. RuthenianCowboy says:

Man, was Cross Purposes a lame album. I was all hyped up for it after Dehumanizer, then BOOM! utter sucktitude.

Thanks for flashing me back to that day. Jerks.

    • PsychoDad says:

Says the basement troll who has NOT fronted the archetypal heavy metal band for 40 years.

    • Gandalfs Beard says:

WTF? Dehumanizer definitely kicked ass, but Cross Purposes was Awe Inspiring. Still one of my all time fave Sabbath albums.

I agree Black Sabbath was first.

  11. Kel says:

Black Sabbath is only a year older than the Scorps, and the Scorpions album came out before the Sabbath one in question here.

  12. julia says:

because it is identical, it must be an homage.

    • Wubbulous says:

Seriously, can we get a separate page for homage/reference/ripoff stuff like this and save totallylookslike for the serendipitous similarities that are more interesting?

  13. Dr. Robotnik says:

I am demoting all of you to Pingas Monkey third class!

  14. Andy says:

I’ve got that Black Sabbath album! But I don’t recognize the scorpions album…

  15. Kach says:

And both images are ripped from a Theatre poster for (if I remember right) Faust. And yes, the Faust poster was first.

  16. Lizard King says:

Am I the only one smelling album cover plagiarism?

  17. Diego says:

Scorpions cover is a 1990 single from album “Crazy World”.
In this album you found the hit single “Wind of change”

  18. Karma says:

I would actually doubt that anyone in Black Sabbath had ever seen that Scorpions album. It’s more likely the artist that made the picture (or pictures) sold to both parties separately.

  19. Functioning along with the disabled are unable to assist but leave 1 impressed with their indefatigable want.

  20. Faust says:

I fuc k ing don’t care whose cover it is. I love these two bands, they both are great and fu ck this cover.
